Cunard's Latest Queen Elizabeth

Finally most provided year-round boat was launched in October and appointed by her Majesty the Queen. In an extremely warm and sunny day in October we met with a host of dignitaries and celebrities of the Prince's trust to witness the pomp and ceremony of designation of the Cunard third ship to bear the name: Isabella.

In modern & spacious Ocean Cruise Terminal in Southampton we were treated champagne, canap?s and tea while entertained by a decade of 1930 style resplendent queues and quarrels jazz band. A taste of things to come aboard! This is, without doubt, an occasion to remember - since not all vessels is thrown by the Queen! We were provided with a ceremony and independent glossy souvenir brochures guest list order.

During the process we had spotted Alan Titchmarsh, Judith Chalmers, Simon Weston, Liz Dawn (Vera Duckworth), Alan Wicker and Jimmy Saville amongst others. We entertained by the Symphony Orchestra of Bournemouth, in the exterior area of seats and the delights of Lesley Garrett.

Cold flow guards marched to the stage and put on their rhythms with fanfare trumpeters of the Irish guards.

After the Queen had inspected the ship reached his Rolls Royce to appoint the ship and press the button to release the bottle of champagne and "Yes" smash - always a good sign. Furthermore, the Queen is the only living person which has been present in all 3 Queen Elizabeth ship naming ceremonies: when he was 12 years old in 1938 by the original Queen Elizabeth and in 1967 for the QE2.

As with all Cunard cruises cut a very impressive presence at any port of call. This along with the established name Cunard and sailing in a Queen seems to attract the attention of all other vessels in any port in particular. Elizabeth is a home away from home for fans of Queen Victoria and patron of Queen Mary 2. Decoration aboard is lighter, fresco and style of the 1930s in contrast with the heavier & darker Queen Victoria's Victorian theme.

The aft deck pool spread over backwards for much more space for sunbathing and already not can overlook the balconies of the suite than the stern of the vessel. Gone are the tones cake and light-colored wood that can be found in the restaurant buffet of Lido of Queen Victoria to be replaced with a much more sophisticated and sumptuous decoration. Playground cover upper front has been upgraded to a covered Bowl / lawn croquet and look lovely club complete with industrial.

On deck 2 and 3 improvements have been made. In the large lobby staircase leads a fresco of original Elizabeth wood and the portrait of her Majesty the Queen must not be lost. The bar chart (located on Queen Victoria & QM2) room has been replaced by a widespread dining area of the Britannia restaurant which gives room to the dining room Britannia Club single seat height balcony cabin passengers grade. Also merged the Carinthia coffee and champagne Veuve Cliquot bar to form a larger area of the taskbar.

Finally on board is a new alternative dining restaurant which replaces Todd found in Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria English restaurant. This is French and called the terrace; It is has a sparkling 1920s style decoration and it seems very tempting. They have also improved the shops on board with a Fortnum Freemasons & also changed entertainment art auction room to a gallery of art with reasonable prices. Unlike found at auctions on board other vessels - art pictures and paintings on sale at the showroom on Board of Queen Elizabeth are items you actually want to hang on the wall and look!

As with all Cunard cruises will still find signature touches that make these simply unbeatable cruise. Launderettes free guest each deck, Commodore club and pub Leon toll-free Fish gold & chips at 1200 hours. Course of Queens Ball room sets particularly Cunard ships apart from others. It is a place of formal entertainment big band and the value of white with china daily afternoon tea and scones and cream white enguantadas waiter service.

Remember evenings dining alternatives in a section of the restaurant Lido - free dinner by reservation service waiter and menus. Alternating items of traditional English Carvery, India, Eastern French and Italian cruises.

Royal Spa deserves the surcharge payable for group therapy Spa and thermal relaxation Salon. The gym is free and the segregated dressing rooms each have a free Swedish sauna which are very popular.

All - a sophisticated charming, boat, and not just a job of the cloned production line!
